Sharif family desperate for NRO, says Chohan

F.P. Report

LAHORE: Punjab Minister for Information and Culture Fayazul Hassan Chohan hs said that the Sharif family is desperate for the National Reconciliation Ordinance (NRO).

Speaking to the media here, he said the Sharif brothers were “certified Sicilian mafias and godfather as per the Supreme Court’s verdict.

Chohan alleged former prime minister Nawaz Sharif’s ailment was being used for political gains, adding that the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) supremo wanted to flee abroad through backdoor but the government won’t fulfill his wish and have him treated in the country.

He said the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) governments at the centre and Punjab would complete their five-year term in power.

Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly Shehbaz Sharif can be ousted from the office of the Public Accounts Committee chairman through two ways, the minister explained, adding that the so-called chief minister squandered Punjab’s millions of rupees over the past decade.

Punjab Minister for Information and Culture Fayazul Hassan Chohan said Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar has gone to Saudi Arabia to perform Umrah at his own expense without even using protocol.
