NAB decides to probe steel mills worst financial crunch

F.P. Report

ISLAMABAD: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has decided on Friday to investigate the motives behind the destruction and loss of billion of rupees to Pakistan’s largest iron industry Pakistan Steel Mills.

“NAB will ascertain the reasons, government negligence or any conspiracy behind the destruction and losses of billion of rupees which were incurred during the last few years,” NAB declaration said.

NAB has also decided to place the name of all former and present directors and other officials on Exit Control List (ECL). It is pertinent to say that PTI has written letter to NAB for initiating inquiry in irregularities and closure of Pakistan Steel Mill so that the livelihood of thousands of employees could be protected.

Through letter the PTI leader and chairman NA committee on industrial and production Asad Umer apprised the NAB that the hundreds of thousands employees of Pakistan Steel were in dire economical condition for not receiving proper salaries and pension.
