Sharjeel rejects impression of targeting opposition leader Haleem Adil Shaikh

Karachi: Provincial Minister for Information, Transport and Mass Transit Sharjeel Inam Memon said that PTI has boycotted today’s election for vacant Senate seat after observing their clear defeat adding that after the results of today polls PTI members would start crying of blame game in the evening.

He said that voting process is underway, no one is barred to exercise his right of vote and the doors of the Sindh Assembly are open for opposition and other members. This he expressed while talking to mediapersons at Sindh Assembly’s Media Corner on Wednesday.

Sindh Minister said that the graph of popularity of PTI was falling speedily all over the country as the aim of PTI was only to gain power through any means. He added that Inshallah next general elections would be held on time after the completion current assemblies tenure.

The Provincial Minister claimed that more corruption scandals of Imran Khan are expected to be revealed and recordings of his family will also be leaked. These recording will reveal that which powerful house lady had authority to appoint the Chief Minister of province . It will also disclose which household lady had passed instructions to the political activists.

He said that Imran Khan was waging a vicious campaign against state institutions of the country and these institutions were being targeted. He added that Imran Khan’s narrative has floped and he has still a chance to correct his political path.

He said that niether country could be run on the wishes of Imran Khan nor legislation can be passed on his (Imran) demand because he had consumed his time when ordinances had been promulgated on the chits of black magic and sorcery tactics. He said that during Imran Khan’s government such chits were delivered at night which had become law in the morning through ordinances frequently.

He added that PTI had not even enjoyed the majority in the national assembly and they had run their government through ordinances which was illegal way and most of the ordinances lapsed among them. The Sindh Minister said that Imran Khan claimed the other day that he had important video recording . The minister said: ‘ Iam advising Imran Khan not to be coward and reveal these secret videos.

Replying to a question, Sharjeel Inam Memon said that he was not aware of the case against opposition leader Haleem Adil Sheikh and added that no one is above the law, he should face the case. He said If Haleem Adil Shaikh is not guilty, then court will set him free but If he is guilty in any case, then he has to face consequences.

Sindh Minister Sharjeel Memon rejected the impression of targeting opposition leader in Sindh Assembly and said that Sindh government has no bad intentions for opposition leader and impression being created is untrue. He said that no one should be remained in delusion and refrain to become ‘Turam Khan” and added law will take its own course.

Replying to a question, he said that the government would decide whether to sent Haleem Adil Sheikh to jail or shift him to any hospital depending upon his health condition. Regretting the incidents occurred on the polling day of NA-240 bye election said it should had not happened . He said that everyone should accept the results of the polls.

He maintained that Political parties’ should not make elections a matter of life and death and matter of their ego and consider it merely a election process. He was of view that responsibility lied on the shoulder of political leadership to keep their workers under control. About transport, he said that modern bus service has been launched in Karachi and he is endeavouring to introduce modern taxi service in Karachi city for giving better options to commuters.

He further said, he openly invite the Karachi’s business community and the Chamber of Commerce through the media to share the business model of taxi service with the Sindh government,” and added that Sindh government is ready to provide all possible facilities to them, and all the legal requirements would be met under one window operation, and in such process they will not face any obstacle.

He said that our mission is to improve the public transport system in Sindh. Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, President Asif Ali Zardari and Chief Minister Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah have given him full support on improving the public transport sector in Sindh province.
