Shaukat slams Mohsin, Ali Wazir for sabotaging peace

PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa minister for Information Shaukat Yousafzai Monday strongly criticized MNAs from tribal districts Mohsin Dawar and Ali Wazir for sabotaging peace process in tribal districts while using names of Pashtun nation.

In his reaction over Miran Shah incident, the minister said that some handful of elements want to sabotage the peace and development process in the tribal districts by abusing national institutions and claiming themselves as Pashtuns.

Pak army and tribal people have offered countless sacrifices in the fight against terrorism and now it is the time to bring development and prosperity in the lives of tribals, he said adding both Mohsin Dawar and Ali Wazir operate on the outer agenda in the name of Pashtun.

He said Pashtun and tribal people are patriotic and would not support the elements like Ali Wazir and Mohsin Dawar.

He said that peace in the tribal areas has established after decade and now the tribal people would be supported in their resettlement and their losses will be addressed, adding that the Prime Minister Imran Khan and Army Chief want quick development in newly merged districts.

Referring to the Miran Shah incident, the provincial minister said that such incidents would harm the peace process in the area.

Shaukat said the government will protect the public’s rights at any cost.
