PESHAWAR: Chairman Qaumi Watan Party Aftab Ahmed Khan Sherpao has said that FATA merge with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is the only solution to ensure the progress of Pakhtuns and termed it as the only way to resolve the long standing deprivations and exploitations of Pakhtoon nation. He said that people of FATA-KP should not be made confused on the merge issue and any solution of the issue short off the merger would not be accepted at any cost.
He said this while addressing press conference as watan kor Peshawar wherein Falak Niaz of Rigi along with his family members and scores of his supporters announced his joining in QWP. The new entrants reposed their confidence over the leadership of Aftab Ahmad Khan Sherpao and that the QWP is the only political party left in the country who real terms work for the welfare of Pakhtoons.
He emphasized on the immediate and complete merge of Fata with KP as the process would ensure the unity of the Pakhtoon nation in the region.
He said that Pakhtuns were the second largest population of country and they had rendered meritorious sacrifices for the country. But, he resented, they have not been compensated and rehabilitated accordingly which is sheer injustice. He vowed that QWP would vehemently struggle for redressing grievances of Pakhtuns so that they could play vital role in mainstream.
Sherpao has univocally demanded an end to the line dividing Pakhtoons between settled and tribal areas and has stated that FATA and KP should be united before the elections of 2018. He stated that uniting Pakhtoons in Pakistan would usher an era of peace and prosperity in the country. He said that QWP had struggled for the last several years to merge the Fata with KP and to bring tribal people in the mainstream, however it was unnecessarily delayed.
He demanded that the merger of the Fata with KP and the representation of the Fata in the provincial assembly should be done, so as to overcome their problems. He said that the provision of justice in the killing of Nqeebullah Mahsud should be made sure and the allegedly involved accused Rao Anwar should be brought to justice to address the grievances of the family who had suffered. He said that by calling Rao Anawar a “Brave boy” by PPP leadership had brought uncertainty and increased the reservations.
Aftab Sherpao came down hard on the provincial led government for its failure of PTI led government to fulfill its election promises exposed its credentials. He said that its tall claims of reformation and changes proved as a total lie and it exposed the true face of the party leadership. He said that Inability of K.P. Govt to properly plead the case of the province and Pakhtuns resultantly increased their hardships.
He said that ANP and PTI leaderships are blaming each other for serious corruption charges of so is the case both parties corruption charges should be investigated through National Accountability Bureau to unearth the reality and bring back the precious wealth of the masses.
Aftab Sherpao said that QWP is the staunchest supporter of the pakhtoons rights in the country and it would leave no stone unturned to address their problems.
