Sherpao welcomes new comers and asks to work on party manifesto

F.P. Report

PESHAWAR: Qaumi Watan Party Provincial chairman Sikandar Hayat Khan Sherpao harshly criticized the PTI led provincial government for making the lives of the KP masses miserable with ill-planned Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) project, saying that delay in the developmental project had triggered serious concerns now from the foreign construction company for the several changes in the design.

He said this while addressing a public gathering here on Sunday in Shaheen Muslim town Peshwar, wherein people from other political parties announced their joining in QWP. The new entrants entrust their confidence to the leadership and believed the QWP is the only leadership left in the province who serves the masses in real terms and it is the last hope for the people of the province.

Sikandar Sherpao welcomed the new comers and asked to work on the manifesto of the party and extended their services to the general public welfare.

He said that the initiative of Rapid Bus Project from PTI provincial led government was based on bad faith of the PTI provincial led, as it was started with delay by keeping in view the election outcomes in mind for their person gains.

He said that the BRT project is a election campaign only which was not in the interests of people of province. He said that the ill-planned project had made the lives of the citizen miserable while the completion of the BRT project within time is impossible.

He lamented that due to lack of proper planning the provincial government had turn the city of flowers into the most filthy and dirtiest city.  He said that flopped BRT had caused billions of loss to the provincial exchequer of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa which already spent on ‘beautification’ of Peshawar. He said that the real face of the PTI leadership had been exposed to the people.

He asked the national accountability bureau to prioritize the investigations on the charges of corruption against the involved Chief Minister and some ministers of the provincial government to expose them to public.

He added that the provincial government was incapable and inefficient “The chairmen of several institutions have issued charge-sheet against the KP government,” he said. “But when their own Chief Minister and some ministers were found involved in corrupt practices, the powers of those institutions were curtailed through legislation,” QWP provincial chief added.

Mr. Sherpao vowed to strive hard for the rights of pakhtoons so as to ensure their progress and development. He said that QWP had emerged as the lone voice for the rights of the oppressed strata that’s why the people mostly relied on it.
