Sherry Rehman says Imran’s U-turn on cypher issue not acceptable

F.P. Report

ISLAMABAD: Federal Climate Minister and senior PPP leader and Senator Sherry Rehman has said that PTI chief Imran Khan has taken the biggest U-turn yet of his hypocritical politics.

In a statement issued on Monday, Sherry Rehman said Imran Khan had harmed Pakistan’s diplomacy by staging the drama of conjectural foreign conspiracy.

She blamed Imran Khan for utterly ignoring national interest while pursuing his so-called narrative. “Now he is saying that he has put the cypher issue behind,” she added.

The minister averred that the PTI chief was now saying that he would not blame anyone now. “Who would be responsible for the damage done to the Pakistani foreign policy due to his narrative?” Sherry asked.

The PPP leader recalled that Imran Khan had targeted national institutions during PTI public rallies using his false narrative. “Cypher tale is not like ’35 punctures’ which one can later dub as a mere political utterance,” she opined.

The minister maintained it was a matter of national security for which Imran Khan would be held accountable. “U-turn on cypher issue is not acceptable,” Sherry declared.
