F.P. Report

ISLAMABAD: Five policemen, including SHO Margalla, have been suspended till further orders in connection with the police ‘raid’ on Barrister Gohar Ali Khan’s house.

According to the spokesperson for the Federal Police, an inquiry has been carried out after the local police went to Barrister Gohar’s house yesterday. ICCPO Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan assured Barrister Gohar of departmental action if any police officer is found guilty.

The spokesman said that the local police reached F7 in search of a proclaimed offender on the information of an informant. But the police immediately returned when they were told that the house belonged to Barrister Gohar.

According to the Islamabad Police, Barrister Gohar had complained to the Supreme Court about the police ‘raid’ on his house, upon which the Chief Justice of Pakistan summoned the police officer and issued an order to investigate the matter.

In this regard, Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan has appointed City DPO as an inquiry officer and issued orders to submit a detailed report within three days.
