Shoaib Malik to lead Multan Sultans in PSL 3

ISLAMABAD: The new and sixth franchise of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) announced Shoaib Malik as captain of Multan Sultans.

Director Cricket of Multan Sultans, Wasim Akran announced this on Sunday and said to media over the Malik appointment that Shoaib is the experienced and talented player and we want him to be as captain of the team and we are hopeful that it will bring positive result in favor of Multan Sultan.

President Multan Sultans Asher Schon also said on the occasion that they are excited that Shoaib is in the team, and looking forward to him leading the team. Shoaib will definitely have a huge impact for Multan Sultans this season both with bat & ball, he added.

They also announced that former Pakistan test cricketer Nadeem Khan as team manager, batsmen Mohammad Wasim as the team’s batting mentor, former South African skipper Johan Botha as assistant coach of Multan Sultans during the third edition of the PSL.
