Shops, houses, markets demolished

PESHAWAR (APP): District administration Wednesday demolished over buildings including shops, houses and markets during anti-encroachment operation at Faqir Kalley on Chagarmati Road.

On the directives of the Deputy Commissioner (DC), Peshawar Islamzeb, the Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC), Shahid Ali Khan along with the officials of the C&W Department and TMA Town-II carried out anti-encroachment operation through heavy machinery on Chagarmatti Road at Faqir Kalley. During the operation more than 40 illegally constructed shops, houses and markets  were demolished.Before, launching of operation, these people were issued notices for voluntarily removal of their encroachments. But, in vain and the administration have to take action by itself.

Meanwhile, the Deputy Commissioner, Peshawar has directed all Additional Assistant  Commissioners (AACs) for identification of all illegally erected encroachments in their  respective areas to demolish them.
