MUMBAI: Speculations of Shraddha Kapoor playing the female lead in Remo D’Souza’s next have been rife since a couple of days. Now that Varun Dhawan has already started prepping for the film, we have an update for you. Officially announcing it this morning was Varun who confirmed Shraddha playing the lead opposite him in the film. It’s going to be a reunion for the stars as they had earlier starred in ABCD 2. The film rolls in Punjab on January 22 and stars Shraddha Kapoor as a professional dancer representing the Indian contingent alongside Varun Dhawan and his team.

Confirming the same, an ecstatic Shraddha Kapoor told Mumbai Mirror, “I’m excited to reunite with Remo sir, Prabhudehva sir and Varun after ABCD 2. This was made possible by Bhushanji (producer Bhushan Kumar) who brought us back and believed in this amazing story. It is going to be a lot of hard work for everyone involved but we are all pumped up.”

Remo D’Souza too spoke about the film, “It feels like old friends have come together to help us. We have worked as a team in the past and I’m sure it will be a fun ride again.”
