Shrines, gyms and playing areas will remain close for 3 weeks: ICT

ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) administration on Tuesday announced that due to the impending Corona Virus (COVID-2019) threat the administration have finally decided to close down all shrines, fitness gyms and playing areas for upcoming three weeks to counter the threat of the crippling diseases a notification issued from Deputy Commissioner (DC) office added.

It’s pertained to mentioned here that the administration already imposed section 144 in both cities including Rawalpindi under which social, religious, seminar and workshops arranging are prohibited to be  in the city following two cases were reported of the COVID-2019 in Islamabad.

The notification added that all shrines (Darbars/Darghas) gyms (Physical training centers, swimming pools) and playing areas for Kids will remain close for upcoming three weeks. An official of the administration told this scribe wished not to be named that in coming days if more cases were reported in the city we are planning to make lockdown of the twin cities for the safety of the general public. He added that all offices and markets will remain close for unknown period of time if the  decision was carried,

But DC Islamabad Muhammad Hamza Shafqat negate these claims and added that no such planning of the administration for lockdown of the city.

Its pertained to mentioned here that the administration already closed educational institutions, public parks and Sunday bazzars to counter the th-reat of the Corona virus in Islamabad.
