MUMBAI: Trust Ayushmann Khurrana to raise the bar with every film he does. Ever since his debut, Vicky Donor in 2012, the actor has constantly done out-of-the-box roles and presented the audience with original work. His upcoming project with Aanand L Rai is no exception. In the year 2017, Ayushmann featured in Shubh Mangal Saavdhan, a film that was based on erectile dysfunction. Apart from getting rave reviews, the film was a box-office success.

Now in 2019, he’s back with the sequel of the project titled Shubh Mangal Zyaada Savdhan. This film is based on the subject of homosexuality and will have Ayushmann Khurrana playing the lead role. Produced by Aanand L Rai, the film will be helmed by Hitesh Kewalya, who wrote the screenplay and dialogue for Shubh Mangal Saavdhan. Ayushmann announced the film by sharing a video along with a caption that read, “Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan is a beautiful story told in the quintessential Aanand Rai style of filmmaking that will touch your hearts and leave a smile on your face.”

Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan will make it to the big screens on Valentine’s Day, 2020. Ayushmann will next be seen in Article 15, which is slated to release on June 28 this year.
