MUMBAI: The year 2018 was a petty phenomenal one for Bollywood in terms of box-office numbers. Simmba being the last release of 2018 continues with that trend in the new year. This all out action entertainer directed by Rohit Shetty has received a phenomenal response by the audience and that clearly reflects in the box-office collections.
The film started off on a strong note as it went on to collect Rs 20.72 crore on the day of release and is now is inching towards the Rs 200 crore mark with collections standing at Rs. 196.80 crore currently.
Besides the lead pair of Ranveer Singh and Sara Ali Khan, Simmba also stars Siddharth Jadhav, Sonu Sood, Vaidehi Parshurami and Ashutosh Rana in key roles. The film has earned the tag of Ranveer Singh’s second highest grosser behind Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Padmaavat.
