Sindh decides to impose smart lockdown till April 15

KARACHI: Sindh province has also decided to impose smart lockdown for one month as it will remain effective from March 15 (today) till April 15.

As per the notification, all business centres will be closed at 10pm and dinning has been banned in restaurants and smart Lockdown has also put a ban on serving food in marriage halls but 300 people can be invited to the wedding invitation.

Markets have been ordered to close at 10 pm in view of the spread of the third wave of corona in Sindh and market hours will be from 6 am to 10 pm.

However, grocery, medical stores, petrol pumps will be exempted from the ban while parks will also be closed at 6 pm. It has been decided that 50 percent of government and private office staff will work from home.

As per the data shared by the National Command and Control Center (NCOC) the most affected province Sindh has recorded 232 new cases during the last 24 hours taking the provincial tally to 261,411 with 4,240 active cases. In Sindh, 5 more patients died of the deadly disease taking the tally to 4,458.

With 39 new recoveries, 252,713 patients have recovered from the virus in the province so far.
