Sindh Govt denies there is job quote for lawmakers

KARACHI: Sindh Minister for information, Labour and Transport Syed Nasir Hussain Shah on Friday said that reports regarding job quote were misleading.

While rejecting the reports, Sindh Information Minister Said no appointments made or given to the Senators, MNAs, MPAs and elected representatives through any quota. He assured that people of Sindh would get the job purely on merit basis.

While talking to media after inaugurating the 4th Pizza Hut City Games at National Coaching Center here on Friday evening Minister Information Syed Nasir Hussain Shah dispelled out the impression about the involvement of Bilawel House in providing job employment would be given on quota basis.

On the occasion, the Minister Information, Labour and Transport while addressing the participants of the city games, has said that the India was pressurized the Nepali team to postpone their visit to Pakistan but Nepali team refused them and participated in the today’s event to show solidarity with local teams and event as the city is now peaceful for everyone we would extend all possible cooperation to them, on their return through aero plane would arrange their tickets etc.

He offered his full support to the event. And promote such healthy activities at every level. Government of Sindh would arrange such event and games at every level for the promotion and projection of young players at grass root level. Earlier The President and Secretary General of Karachi City Sports Association Aslam khan, Khalud rehmani and Ghulam Muhammad khan were also spoke highlighted the salient features of the event. 1300 different players of various games are attending the games.

Especially team from Nepal was also attended and participated in the event. Guard of honour and past march were also given by the participants.

Furthermore he said Karachi city games is a good omen for city people, he congratulated the management for holding such event. He said that we are happy over restoration of international cricket in Pakistan but Najam Sethi showing discrimination with Karachi since he takes the charge as PCB Chairman which is not good for cricket, he further said that it will be fresh breeze for Karachi if PCB arrange international match.

He requested PCB that to hold one friendly match would be held so that people of Karachi would enjoy and witness the star players as the international foot ball players and wrestlers are visiting here. We are protesting over the behavior of PCB Chairman with Sindh and register our protest, we had already requested PCB but not given positive reply in this regard nor implemented our request, he added that Courts had always differently with the PPP. Various schools and district teams were participated and displayed their activities in the event.
