Sindh govt timely decision save many districts

HYDERABAD: Provincial Minister for Information and Focal Person Rain Emergency Hyderabad Sharjeel Inam Memon has said that large population of villages in Hyderabad rural have been saved from submerging due to timely action and immediate repair of breaches in canals.
He added that they were well aware of the situation after heavy moonson rains and continuously monitoring the relief activities in rain-affected areas while all the resources are being mobilized for the rescue and relief of the the affected people. The minister said this while talking to media during the visit of various affected villages and relief camps on Wednesday. The minister on this occasion inspected the sensitive embankments of Rahuki branch.
He said that the left protective banks of the Rahuki branch are very sensitive and he personally been monitoring the safety of banks of water canals day and night to save villages from submerging. He said that Tando Qaiser and other villages could have been affected by the breaches in the Rahuki branch. He added that there is no passage for dewatering of rain water in rural Hyderabad, keeping in view the sensitivity of situation, the banks of canals had been raised up to 2 feets.
Responding to question of over all situation in the province, the minister said that situation of Johi, Khairpur Nathan Shah, Saeedabad and Nowshehro Feroze is alarming. The members of national and provincial assembly had been directed to stay in the constituencies to monitor the relief and rescue activities. He said that the entire leadership of the Pakistan Peoples Party has been monitoring the situation. He added that Imran Khan’s people are currently spreading disinformation even in this difficult time.
He said that whole nation is united and on one page to help our affected people. He said that armed forces including Pakistan army, navy were activily assisting civil administration in rescue operations. Only PTI people are spreading disinformation and false propaganda by making fake videos viral. He added that PTI candidate for councilor in local bodies elections had made video in his own fields and blamed him for dewatering the rain water to wards settled villages.
He said that legal action would be initiated against such fake videos, while he had approached cyber wing of Fedral Investigation Agency ( FIA) for action. He said that federal and provincial governments and political parties were all focusing to provide relief to people in this difficult time except for one fitna Party.
The target of PTI is state of Pakistan and it’s people. It is unfortunate and shameful act if someone is playing politics when whole Pakistan is facing unprecedented natural calamity in form of heavy rains and now river floods. Provincial Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon said that 23 districts of Sindh are severally affected and land routes are cut off at many places. Provincial Minister said that PPP Chairman and foreign minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari collected Rs.1.3 trillion donation for the affected people just in an hour.
