Sindh Information Minister’s message on Pakistan Day

Karachi: Sindh Information Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon in a message on Pakistan Day said that March 23 is an important day in the history of Pakistan.

The Muslims of the subcontinent decided to establish a separate homeland to free themselves from the shackles of slavery and oppression. He said that the Muslims of the subcontinent were able to get their demand for an independent country approved in a short period of just seven years. The minister paid rich tribute to Quaid Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and all the leaders of the independence movement who united the Muslims of British India for the establishment of a free and independent Muslim state.

The Minister said that while celebrating this day, we need to follow the principles of unity, faith and discipline given by Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah. He further said that the Pakistan People’s Party had a great struggle to make it strong and keep it united by making 1973 constitution, nuclear program and guaranteeing autonomy to the provinces under 18th amendment.

‘ Our vision is to transform Pakistan into a true democratic welfare state,’ he added. Mr. Memon said that our great nation had successfully overcomed immense challenges of the past through unity and resilience. let us today renew our resolve to make Pakistan a progressive and prosperous state. He said that in the blessed month of Ramadan, May Allah grant us the strength to stay stead fast in every trial time.
