Sindh leading in Corruption, alleges Imran

KARACHI: Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Imran Khan, while announcing to hold a massive public gathering at Mazar-e-Quid, on Wednesday said that Sindh was lagging behind all other provinces in corruption.

“There is commission on everything and the money is going directly to Dubai. Corruption in Sindh is unmatchable with any other area of Pakistan,” the PTI chairman said while coming hard on the ruling Pakistan People’s Party for the second consecutive day.

“My focus is on Sindh now and we will hold a massive public gathering in Karachi next December,” the PTI Chief announced. Every month a development budget of Rs4billion is spent on paper which one can’t see on ground, he said. “Where is Rs4billion developmental budget of Sindh going each month,” he asked.

When Nawaz Sharif came into power every Pakistan was indebted of Rs 35 thousands and now that amount has reached Rs120 thousands, Khan said. Both Asif Ali Zardari and Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif are responsible for taking Pakistan to this condition, he alleged.

Nawaz Sharif had been steeling public money for last thirty years and that money he would send abroad, he said. “No one would pay heed but we turned our focus towards Nawaz Sharif.

A day earlier, the PTI Chairman Imran Khan, while addressing a public gathering in Hyderabad, had reiterated that he would now pursue PPP Co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari, the “biggest disease plaguing Sindh”.

“We will take this accountability to its logical conclusion. One of them is gone now. Now we will go after Zardari and will put him in the prison,” Imran said while addressing a public rally in Hyderabad. “Zardari, now it’s your turn,” he added.

In this one of the PTI’s rare public mobilization activities in Hyderabad, Imran briefly outlined the party’s reform plan for Sindh if it came to power. However, most part of his speech was reserved for slamming former PM Sharif and former president Zardari, whose party rules the province.
