Siraj wants foreign policy out of US interest
LAHORE: Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Pakistan, Senator Sirajul Haq has said that all policies of the United States revolve around “Israelization” but Pakistan’s foreign policy must concentrate on the national and not the US interest.
In a statement issued here on Wednesday, Sirajul Haq said that the US was conspiring for Israel’s recognition by the Muslim countries. The wars imposed on different Muslim states, the changes being affected in the geography of the Muslim world and the widening of the Shia-Sunni conflict was aimed at forcing the Muslim countries to recognize the Zionist state, he added.
He said that it was due to US conspiracies that Sudan and Libya had been split in several parts and a bloody war had been thrust on Syria.
The JI chief said that for Pakistan, the most important foreign policy issue was of Kashmir. He said that there had been three wars between Pakistan and India on Kashmir. As such, the foreign policy of the country should be reframed giving Kashmir the central place. He further stated that the second important point of our foreign policy should be to ensure peace on both sides of our Afghan border. He said that at one time, the Afghan border was the most peaceful border in the world and the people on both sides were hand and glove to each other. However, he said, that with NATO’s arrival, this border turned into the hottest border.
Sirajul Haq said that the third most important foreign policy issue should be to protect Balochsitan from the conspiracies of the enemy. He said that the mineral rich Balochistan had caught the greedy eyes of the seen-and the unseen world powers. He said the government and the national leadership would have to keep a vigilant eye on all sides. The JI chief said that the west and the US would not like world peace at all because with the restoration of peace in the world, the arms and armament factories of the US and the US would be forced to be closed. Therefore, he said, continuation of unrest and lawlessness in the world was the need of our enemy. Sirajul Haq further said that stable and prosperous Pakistan warranted a just distribution of resources of the country.
He said that the poverty of the backward regions of the country should be brought to an end and the small provinces should be given their due rights. He said that unless and until an atmosphere of mutual trust was established, the federation could not be made strong and stable.
