Sit-in of tribesmen enters 8th day in Islamabad

ISLAMABAD: The sit-in of Pakhtoon Tribesman continued on 8th day, the sit-in gain much momentum in eight days, people from flung areas joined the Dharna. The resident of Federal Administrative Tribal Area (FATA) arranged protest in the front of National Press Club Islamabad against the extra judicial murder of Naqeeb Ullah Mehsud which turned into sit-in.

The demand of protestor is to immediate arrest of suspended SSP Rao Anwar who is allegedly involved in the murder.

The Meeting of protestor with Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi failed and no back through is gained, although the protestor divided after meeting with premier. Some of the elder decided to end-up the protest but majority not agreed because they said that there is no surety that the promise will be fulfilled. So the sit-in will be continued till their genuine demands to be fulfilled.

Many elder leaves the dharna but it is still continued in its place and many groups of Pakhtoon tribes coming and joining them, the younger are determine that they will continue the protest.

Many national leaders across the country joined the protest, deliver their speeches and demanded from government to immediate take action and make sure the arrest of the absconder. Chairman PTI Imran Khan, President ANP Asfandyar Wali Khan, QWP Chairman Aftab Sherpao, Mehmood Khan Achackzai and many other MNA’s and Senator are joined and assure their support with the protestor.

The one demand of the protester is to remove mines from FATA especially from Mehsud Area of Waziristan which result 78 deaths of child in the respected area.

Some allegation were impute by some sources and a propaganda was being spread by India Today newspaper that it is an anti state protest but the protestor denied and said that we are the citizen of the country there is nothing such agenda in our protest nor in our demands all the national leader are aware and joined us, our protest is peaceful and only for justice.

Demand of justice is not crime nor is protest inside country crime the participant of dharna said while they talking with The Frontier Post and also added that  before that many dharna have been recorded which later on become violent but our protest is peaceful, no road have been block nor anyone get hurt. One of the participants Farhad Ali resident of Bajaur, and president of all Fata Student Forum while talking to The Frontier Post said that he is the part of the dharna from very first day.

We are determined and will never go back an inch from our demands. He added that it is true that some of our leader leaves us in between but there are many others are still with us and supporting us. We have many resources through which we can continue the protest till the completion of our demands. He hoped that meeting with Army Chief will be fruitful. Another participant Sajid Hameed resident of FATA said that he is here because of injustice going in FATA with us and will be here till our each and every demand not accepted.

The curfew imposed after any unpleasant incident in FATA should be stop which is also one of our demands. A resident of swat Khyber Pakhtoonkhwa said that he left his business to participate in Dharna and said that our sacrifices are neglected. The Naqeeb murder is an end to the oppression in the state. He added that we are not worried about some people leave us because a lot of other caravan are coming and joining us.
