Six dead, four injured in Samangan accident

AIBAK: Six people have been killed and four others injured as result of two separately traffic accidents in Samangan province, an official said on Wednesday.

Two passengers, including a woman were killed and four others injured when a vehicle skidded off the road and overturned in Aq locality.

The incident happened due high speed and recklessness of the driver, Traffic Police Chief Col. Abdul Razeq said.

Elsewhere, four young boys were killed when a car rammed into a tanker in the Qachan locality of Aibak, the provincial capital, the traffic police chief said.

Ali Raza, a doctor at the civil hospital said six bodies, including a woman corpse and four wounded, including a child had been transferred to the hospital.

Two injured are said to be in critical condition.

Zabihullah, 52, a father of the dead boy in the accident, said: “his son along with his others three friends were travelling to Balkh for the New Year celebration ceremony.

He said his son did not informed them of traveling to Mazar-i-Sharif.
