Six terrorists killed in Lakki Marwat IBO

PESHAWAR: Six terrorists were killed during a joint intelligence-based operation by police and Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) personnel in Lakki Marwat.

Four of the slain terrorists were identified as Ziaullah alias Kochi son of Dawood, Siftullah alias Drone son of Hayatullah, Mujibullah son of Shareef and Kaleemullah alias Faqeer son of Amir Nawaz.

The security personnel also recovers weapons, hand-grenades and ammunition from the hideout of the terrorists who were wanted in connection with attacks on police and security forces.

After receiving information about presence of wanted terrorists in Dadeewala Police Station area and that they were planning to attack Abbasia checkpost, a joint police and CTD team raided the terrorists’ hideout.

Upon spotting the security forces, the terrorists opened indiscriminate firing on them ensuing a gunbattle which lasted for hours.

The police searched the area after the firing stopped and found six terrorists dead along with their weapons and ammunition.

It may be mentioned here that these terrorists had martyred six policemen during an attack on mobile vehicle of Abbasia checkpost in November last year.
