SKMCH&RC begins vaccinating against Corona

LAHORE: Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital and Research Centre (SKMCH&RC) begins vaccinating its frontline healthcare professionals against COVID-19.

A especial Covid-19 vaccination camp has been installed outside the main hospital building where frontline healthcare professional, who are directly working with Covid-19 patients, are being administered the vaccine.

The chief Medical Officer/acting CEO of Shaukat Khanum Hospital, Dr. Muhammed Aasim Yusuf said that the Hospital has been provided with 300 dozes of Sino pharm vaccine by Government of Pakistan.

This type of vaccine can only be administered to the people below age of sixty years.

Initially, we are vaccinating our frontline workers from Intensive Care Unit (ICU), some doctors from the medicine field and those technologists who are fighting on front line against the pandemic.

Dr Aasim further added that we will also need vaccine for other healthcare staff and for the immunocompromised cancer patients as well.
