LAHORE: Smog continues to disrupt daily life in parts of Punjab and on Sunday one person died and six others were injured in separate road accidents in Multan and other cities of Punjab.
As per details, the citizens were facing problems in mobility and the smog has also seriously disrupted the residents commuting as the visibility is as low as zero on routes from Multan to Khanewal.
Motorway police spokesman told private channel that various sections of motorway were closed for traffic on early Sunday morning as the visibility near Lahore-Bahawalpur National Highway plunged to 50 meters.
Numbers of flights have been affected in Punjab in the last three to four days because of continuous smog in the province and it creating problems to the passengers. At least 60 flights were cancelled coming to and from Lahore.
Multan was also blanketed by fog, forcing the delay of five flights to and from the city, including Doha, Sharjah and Dubai.
Met office claimed that the province is expected to see rain and chilly weather from tonight, after which smog is expected to decrease.
