SNGPL: 147 connections disconnected, fine imposed

LAHORE: During the ongoing crackdown against gas pilferers, SNGPL continued raids in Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Islamabad, disconnecting another 147 connections while imposing fine of Rs. 2.9 million and 221 under billing cases processed.

In Lahore, the regional team disconnected ten connections on illegal use of gas and another 11 on use of compressor, 4 Under billing cases have been processed and amount of Rs 0.53 booked against gas theives and under billing cases.

In Bahawalpur, the regional team disconnected Seven connections on use of compressor. The company disconnected nine connections on illegal use of gas while another one on use of compressor,32 Under billing cases have been processed and fine of Rs0.08 Million imposed against gas pilferers in Multan. In Sheikhupura, 17 on illegal use of gas while one on use of compressor were disconnected by the region and 38 Under billing cases have been processed, amount of Rs 0.32 booked against gas theives and Under billing cases.

In Peshawar, the company disconnected 34 connections on account of direct use of gas and illegal connections. The regional team also lodged 2 FIRs against gas thieves. The team also imposed fine of Rs 0.95 against gas theives.In Rawalpindi the regional team disconnected 36 gas connections and 16 Under billing cases have been processed. In Mardan Four Under billing cases have been processed while imposing fine of Rs 0.08million.

In Sialkot, the company booked 58HM3 volume booked against Under billing cases. ln Sargodha 38 under billing cases have been processed 1on illegal use of gas and Rs 0.02 million has been booked against under billing cases. The regional team in Gujranwala 49 under billing cases processed and 03 meters were disconnected on the use of compressor and 2 on illegal use of gas. The region also imposed fine of Rs. 0.07 million on gas theft and under billing cases.

The company disconnected 08 connections on illegal use of gas in Islamabad. In Sahiwal, three connections were disconnected on illegal use of gas.The regional team in Faisalabad 40 under billing cases processed and 02 disconnected on illegal use of gas and another 01 on the use of compressor. Fine of Rs. 0.22 million was also imposed against gas pilferers. The Regional team in Abbottabad also disconnected 01 connection on illegal use of gas.
