KARACHI: SNGPL defeated the defending champion WAPDA for 103 runs and won their fourth Quaid-e-Azam Trophy title on Monday.
SNGPL took the last three wickets on the fifth day of the final day to win the trophy and it took them 50 minutes to send WAPDA packing.
The defending champion survive only eleven overs and the last three batsmen out cheaply. All the remaining three wickets took three wickets.
SNGPL have previously won the titles in 2008, 2014 and 2015.
Captain of SNGPL, Mohammad Hafeez, after receiving a prize money of 2.5 million PKR, told news channels that it was a great team effort that led his side to the victory in the final.
