SNGPL gets 1700 cases registered against gas pilferers

SARGODHA (APP) : Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) regional office Sargodha got registered 1700 cases against gas pilferers and imposed fine of

Rs 1.3 million on them during the ongoing crackdown.

Official sources from SNGPL told APP here on Sunday that in line with special directives of SNGPL Regional Manager Umer Hayat, the special task force inspected gas connections in various areas of the division and got registered 1700 FIRs against those consumers who were involved in gas theft of domestic connections, whereas the department disconnected their connections and imposed fine of Rs 1.3 million.

The task force will continue its crackdown on illegal connections in Sargodha region.
