Snow, rainfall causes human, material losses

F.P. Report

KABUL: The latest severe snow and rainfall in multiple provinces has caused human and material losses, closed all major and minor roads and created complications for people including the shortage of health, food and fuel materials.

The Commission for Control and Regulation of NGOs and Companies is monitoring the latest developments and calls on all aid agencies, charity groups and humanitarian individuals to coordinate their aid to areas that are affected by the extreme weather and people in need of emergency aid.

All necessary steps must be taken to open the main roads in order to prevent any tragedy from unfolding.

The Commission for NGOs also calls upon the Mujahideen of Islamic Emirate to aid the people in areas under their control with resources at their disposal and encourage locals to lend aid to one another as well.

All humanitarian agencies and organizations should contact us via the numbers provided so that they may provide services in areas under the control of Islamic Emirate and be given safety assurances for their personnel, vehicles and instruments.

Meanwhile, as the latest snow and rainfall has caused human and material losses in north, south, central and eastern provinces of the country and the main roads are compromised due to snow and floods, the Commission for Registration of Complaints and Prevention of Civilian Casualties calls on all transport companies no refrain from issuing tickets to passengers until they get complete assurances that roads have been cleared for traffic use. If a company does issue any tickets without the approval of this Commission, they will be dealt with in accordance to Shariah law.

It also calls on all Mujahideen to help stranded passengers reach their destinations or transfer them to a nearby shelter.
