ASTORE: Minister for Tourism Gilgit Baltistan Fida Khan said Thursday the government was taking concrete steps to promote tourism.
While talking to media persons, the GB minister said Gilgit Baltistan region was endowed with tremendous natural beauty and the tourism department was utilizing all its available resources to explore tourism spots and attract tourists, he added.
He said Chief Minister Hafeez-ur-Rehman was also taking keen interest in promotion of the tourism sector and had been in contact with several companies and firms of country to develop and promote tourism in Gilgit Baltistan.
He said many people of the region were attached with this key sector and earning livelihood, so the government was working on several options to attract more tourists to the scenic beauty of the region and generate revenues.
