KABUL (Khaama Press): The ambassador of Iran in Kabul has stated that looking for a solution to Afghanistan’s issues outside the region will not help the situation.
Hassan Kazemi Qomi, the ambassador of Iran to Afghanistan, tweeted last night said the meeting was held in Tashkent, referring to an earlier gathering of special representatives from Afghanistan’s neighbouring countries, demonstrating the significance of Afghanistan’s political, security, and social developments for the region.
He said: “The Afghan caretaker administration’s move towards forming an inclusive and reassuring government and protecting women’s rights will be welcomed by the regional countries.”
“The cooperation of the caretaker government with the region’s countries and neighbours is the best way out of the bottlenecks,” he added. The first meeting of special representatives on Afghanistan’s neighbouring countries was held on Tuesday in Tashkent, in which envoys from Iran, Uzbekistan, Pakistan, China, Russia, Turkmenistan, and Tajikistan participated in the meeting to discuss the current situation of Afghanistan.
The Envoys spoke about the current state of affairs in Afghanistan. They emphasized the need for long-lasting peace in the country and the provision of humanitarian aid to the Afghan people.
Since the international community does not recognize the current Afghan authority, the diplomats and Taliban representatives are not invited to important international conferences.
