Sonam Kapoor speaks up against Indian government without naming Modi

NEW DELHI (Monitoring Desk): Bollywood’s actress Sonam Kapoor has urged people to speak up against Indian government’s atrocities.

Taking to twitter, without naming Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Sonam asked people to be on the right side of history.

She further said that anyone who chose to remain silent will regret it otherwise.

“Be on the right side of history. This is an appeal. You will forever regret it otherwise. You will forever regret it otherwise,” she said.

At least forty people were killed and dozens were injured in Delhi’s anti-Muslim protests last week.

According to details, protests over the controversial citizenship law turned violent and claimed forty precious lives before Trump’s visit to India’s capital earlier this week.

Several vehicles were set alight along with cross-firing between opponents ahead of Trump’s visit to the capital.

Police used smoke grenades and tear gas to disperse the crowds, as both sides hurled stones and turned the capital city into a battle zone.

Reportedly, the Monday’s clashes were among the worst seen India’s capital has seen since the protests against this discriminatory law started in early December.
