Special Forces arrest the shadow district chief of Taliban in Shebarghan city

SHEBARGHAN CITY (Khaama Press): The Special Forces of the Afghan intelligence agency have arrested the shadow district chief of Taliban in Shebarghan city of Jawzjan province.

The Afghan Intelligence, National Directorate of Security (NDS) in a statement said the shadow district of Taliban for Faizabad district was arrested in Shebargha city.

The statement further added that Mawlavi Obaidullah alias Hanafi had recently visited Shebarghan city to plan and coordinate terrorist attacks but was arrested during a special operation of the NDS Special Forces.

The anti-government armed militants including Taliban have not commented regarding the arrest of Mawlavi Obaidullah so far.

Jawzjan is among the relatively volatile provinces in North of Afghanistan. Taliban militants are active in some of the restive districts of the province where they often attempt to carry out terrorist related activities against the government and security institutions.
