Sports festival kicks-off

KOHAT: Assistant Commissioner Lachi Khola Tariq formally inaugurated the Kohat Sports Festival 2023 organized by the Kohat Sports Office in collaboration with the District Administration and Mol Company.

The Festival which would continue for six days, includes Football, Volleyball, Cricket, Tug of War, Athletics and Badminton Games. The inaugural ceremony besides others was also attended by the District Sports Officer Kohat Sajid Afridi, President Football Association Mohibullah Shinwari and sports lovers in large number.

In first phase, competitions of the abovementioned games would be played at Tehsil level while its finals will be played at Kohat Sports Complex. The chief guest on the occasion also distributed Sports Kits among the players. AC Lachi Khola Tariq stressed upon the locals to take full advantage of this golden chance and participate in the Festival games by approving themselves best players of their respective games. She added, the Festival was aimed to discover the untapped talent at grass roots level. She assured that the Provincial Government would fully support and encourage the talented players at all levels.
