State Minister discusses peace with Belgium Envoy

KABUL (Agencies): Special Representative of the President and the State Minister for Peace, Abdul Salam Rahimi, met with Arnout Pauwels, Belgium’s Special Representative for Afghanistan in his office.

In the meeting, the two sides discussed the issues related to the Afghanistan peace process and the creation of an international consensus through the establishment of the Peace Support Group.

Belgium’s Special Representative for Afghanistan said that his country supports the Afghanistan peace process.

Meanwhile, the State Minister for Peace expressed his gratitude for Belgium’s continued support for Afghanistan.

According to another report from state ministry for peace, Abdul Salam Rehimi also met with Mohammad KarimKhalili, leader of Hezbe-e-Wahdat-e-Islami Afghanistan and Haji Din Mohammad, a prominent Jihadi and political figure in the country. The meetings discussed recent developments and issues related to peace.

The meetings were held following the consultative meetings of the State Minister for Peace to establish a national consensus for peace.
