Stay Home, Stay Safe for the sake of humanity

It is neither about any particular political party, a peculiar province, city nor a country but about the survival of human race.Surfing through the social media, since the outbreak of the corona virus pandemic, I have noticed that a certain number of individuals are not sparing even little time to criticise the performance of the government in terms of improving its ways to handle the situation wisely and carefully.

It should not be taken against me but among these gentlemen some senior journalists are also included. This is not the time to go subjective but time to be objective and support the authorities in its genuine cause of saving lives and overcome this recent menace.

What we can do, instead of criticising or speaking of the government for personal interests and portraying the good deeds of our beloved political parties and personalities, is to create awareness among people against corona virus and urge them to stay inside their homes and avoid going into crowded areas. On the other hand some people or certain groups, after either their hidden causes or interests, are spreading fake news and information without confirmation.

The websites of Government of Pakistan and likes of World Health Organization can be useful sources of authentic information regarding corona virus. China has taken control of the deadly virus to a larger extent. How was it made possible in China, beacuse people listened to its government and stayed home though it is not the responsibility of the government to drag people into their home but is a social responsibility.

The efforts done by the governments of Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are commendable. Ajmal Wazir is keeping the masses updated with the real situation and his work is appreciated all over the country but a big but is it not only the duty of Ajmal Wazir and other government authorities to fight against Coronavirus.

No, it is not. It is the duty of each and every Pakistani national to fight against this menace. Peoples from the countries like Spain, France and the United States failed to listen to the warnings of their governments and are in facing the worst consequences.

It is time to start listening to the government and health workers. Don’t force the security agencies to have a harsh attitude towards you as till now they have been too lenient with all unlike the police in India where the people are being thrashed brutally for violating the lockdown orders.
