‘Stree’ continues to rule the box office
MUMBAI: 2018 so far has been a year full of great films for Bollywood. Not only are different directors experimenting with their style of storytelling, but actors are also taking up unusual scripts to surprise and impress the audience.
Amar Kaushik’s Stree is one such fabulous hit of this year. The horror comedy has been tickling people’s funny bones and spooking them out at the same time. Power-packed performances by Rajkummar Rao, Shraddha Kapoor, Aparshakti Khurrana, Abhishek Banerji and Pankaj Tripathi is something the audience is totally gushing over while talking about the film. With a great word of mouth, the film’s numbers have been growing with each passing day. During its second weekend as well, the film earned good amount at the box-office. While the first weekend collections were Rs 32.37 crores, the second-weekend collections stood firm at Rs 21.90 crores.
The total collection of the film is Rs 82.29 crores till now and the numbers are increasing every single day. Trade experts suggest the film will enter the 100 crore club in the coming weekend.
