Students banned from bringing cars, motorbikes into schools

F.P. Report

LAHORE: In view of the issues created by underage drivers for the traffic police and school administrations, the Education Authority, Lahore has given instructions to all schools’ heads not to allow students to bring unlicensed motorcycles and cars to their institutions, on Tuesday.

In a letter, the Authority has directed schools’ management not to allow underage students to park their unlicensed motorcycles and cars at the schools’ premises.

In the letter, schools’ heads have been warned of action in case they do not comply with these instructions.

The Authority has also directed classes’ in-charges to ask pupils not to come to schools on bikes or cars on their own.

Schools’ heads have also been urged to inculcate in students awareness about traffic rules since underage drivers could put people’s lives in jeopardy.

Teachers have also been asked in the letter to contact parents of the children bringing unlicensed cars or motorcycles to schools.
