ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Spokesperson Fawad Chaudhry on Saturday while launching a tirade against the Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) said that it would be better to commit suicide than going into an alliance with the party.
Talking to media in Islamabd on Saturday, he criticised former president Asif Ali Zardari and former prime minister Nawaz Sharif saying they have been like brothers throughout their lives.
The PTI spokesman said that the political career of Nawaz Sharif and his daughter Maryam Nawaz has come to an end, adding that the former premier’s daughter entered politics accidently. “Maryam Nawaz do not even know her father’s history,” he added.
Taking a jibe at Khawaja Asif, Fawad said that the country’s foreign minister is drawing a salary of Rs16 million from a foreign company but the Parliament has not taken any action against him.
He further predicted that more people would be joining the PTI in the next few days.
Chaudhry went on to say that the PTI has started taking applications for party tickets online, adding that the party has fixed May 4 date to submit applications for party tickets.
“The names of the party’s candidates would be finalised in May,” he said.
Commenting on the caretaker setup, the PTI spokesman said that the names finalised for the caretaker government were handed over to party leader Shah Mahmood Qureshi, who would give those names to Leader of Opposition in National Assembly Syed Khursheed.
Fawad further said that a committee has been formed to make the party’s rally at Minar-e-Pakistan successful. “PTI’s April 29 Islamabad rally would be the biggest in the history of the country.”
