Suicide bomber blows himself up in KP’s Mardan district

MARADAN: A suicide bomber blew himself up in fields in the jurisdiction of Chaura police station in Mardan on Friday.

Soon afterwards, a heavy police contingent reached site of the incident and collected evidence. 

The incident spread panic in the area while search operation was underway till the filing of this report.

DIG Mardan told media that the police had taken body of the suicide bomber, who was later identified as 17-year-old Muhammad Ayub, resident of Bajaur Agency, into possession.

He further said that only after investigation it would become clear as to what was the intended target of the bomber.
