SWAT: Karishma Khan, resident of Mingora topped her college in LLB examination with highest score of marks. The people of valley and her relatives were congratulating Karishma Khan and her parents over her success. She got her basic education at swat having top position record since nursery.
The valley of Swat passed through militancy and floods also inundated it became a symbol of uncertainty and backwardness, however despite all these challenges she managed to topped her college in FSC with A-1 grade and enrolled in Malakand university where she done her bachelor degree.
Talking to this correspondent Karishma khan said that I has qualified for medical and got enrollment in one of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa esteemed colleges but due to some domestic problems once I visited district courts in a case and faced courts proceedings where my tendency turned towards law and believe if I want to empower myself only as a lawyer I can be a strong women, she added.
She said that I am fully devoted to the field and experienced many hardships as a teenager being a victim and a client; I know the core problems of this society. I am optimistic and has the belief that female will change the perspective of male dominated society because at one side we raised slogans for equality but it just only remains slogans.
I will establish a separate office for women where they can share their miseries and problems, adding that I will be their lawyer without fees and will fight to provide justice to women. Answering to a question she said that it is need of the hour that women should come forward in all fields of life and break the tradition of silence and fight for their rights.
The local women’s and elders of the valley appreciated the struggle of the young energetic lawyer and vowed that the society will support her so that she emerged victorious in her mission.
