DAMASCUS (Reuters): The Syrian presidency is forming a preparatory committee for a national dialogue conference into the political future of the country, state news agency Sana said on Wednesday.
Holding the conference has been a key pledge of the opposition coalition led by “Hayat Tahrir al-Sham,” who took control of Damascus on Dec. 8 in an offensive that ousted then-president Bashar al-Assad.
