Taliban commander killed in drone strike

KABUL: An important Taliban commander was killed in a drone strike conducted by US led forces in northern Parwan province.

Mohammad Masoum Farzayee, police chief said the drone strike was conducted in Izatkhel area of Jabal Saraj district after security forces initiated operation against Taliban and which was supported by foreign forces airstrike.

Farzayee added that in the operation an important commander identified as Mullah Agha Gul was killed along with his fighter and three security forces were also injured in the operation.

The Taliban have not yet commented on the operation.
