KABUL: Rejecting reports about the participation of their representatives in a conference held in Istanbul city of Turkey, the Taliban said on late Saturday night it was a fake process.

However, spokesman for Taliban movement Zabihullah Mujahid rejected these reports as false and said: “The media reports about the participation of Islamic Emirate’s representative in the conference held in Turkey have no reality. We neither have any representative there, nor could any participant represent Islamic Emirate in the conference. Such fake processes are part of intelligence conspiracies and an effort to damage the ongoing jihad.”

Members of Hizb-e-Islami Afghanistan of Engineer Gulbadin Hekmatyar, two representatives of Taliban faction known as High Council of Islamic Emirate under the leadership of Mullah Muhammad Rasool and members of High Peace Council of Afghanistan are attending the gathering.
