Taliban suffer casualties in forces raid, airstrikes

KABUL: The Afghan Special Forces and Air Force carried out separate operations in south-eastern Paktiya province killing dozens of Taliban militants.

The military officials said Tuesday the Afghan special forces conducted a raid in Tsamkani district of killed 14 Taliban fighters and detained 7.

The officials further added that the Air Forces also carried out airstrikes in Tsamkani district killed 12 Taliban fighters.

The Air Forces also carried out two airstrikes in Bermal district killed 10 Taliban fighters and destroyed 2 vehicles.

The security forces conducted another airstrike in Zurmat district and killed 3 Taliban fighters, the officials added.

The anti-government armed militants including Taliban have not commented regarding the operations so far. (Khaama Press)
