Tank: One killed, 22 injured in grenade attack on police

PESHAWAR: A man was killed and 22 other people were injured in a blast caused by a hand grenade thrown at police officials near Marwat Market on Bannu Road in Tank on Friday.

District Police Officer Waqar Ahmad said an exchange of fire between police and the attackers took place near Civil Lines. He said one attacker was injured and taken into custody.

Police surrounded the area and started a search operation. All the injured had been shifted to the District Headquarters (DHQ hospital, he said.
