Task force collects Rs179m from power defaulters

LAKKI MARWAT: A task force formed to take action against power pilferers and defaulters has recovered over Rs 179 million dues from defaulters across the district. The task force headed by Deputy Commissioner Jehangir Azam Wazir conducted raids at various parts of the district and removed 292 illegal connections.

Backed by police, the team also seized 15 transformers installed on illegal power supply lines besides recovering dues from the defaulters. The deputy commissioner said that the drive against power theft and defaulters would continue indiscriminately and not yield to pressure from any quarter.
