TDAP to host showcase of women-led businesses

LAHORE: The excitement is palpable as Lahore gears up for the 11th annual Women Entrepreneurs’ Exhibition, WEXNET 2023, at the Lahore Expo Center.

The much-anticipated event is set to open its doors to the public tomorrow (Saturday) from 10 AM to 10 PM. The Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) has been steadfast in its commitment to support women-led businesses through a variety of initiatives, with WEXNET being a prominent showcase of their efforts.

Each year, TDAP brings together women entrepreneurs from all corners of Pakistan to participate in this event, emphasizing gender inclusivity on a national scale. This year’s theme, “Empowering Women through Entrepreneurship,” underscores the importance of women’s economic empowerment and the contributions to the national economy.

WEXNET 2023 promises to be a shopping extravaganza on discounted prices, featuring a diverse array of products from women-led businesses across the country. Shoppers can expect to find a wide range of items, including home decor, beauty products, textiles, gems and jewelry, shoes and bags, dry fruits, herbal products, cosmetics, and much more. Renowned organizations also joined TDAP for empowering women,like Daachi Foundation,The COTHM Culinary Institute, PSEB, Sanat Zaar, SMEDA, USAID-ERDA are prominently featured, offering a unique shopping experience for visitors.

Adding to the excitement, the event will host cooking competitions featuring Chef Gulzar and a delectable food court. Beyond shopping and gastronomic delights, WEXNET 2023 boasts a vibrant entertainment lineup, including cultural shows, seminars, workshops, and a dedicated kids’ play area, making it an ideal destination for families.

One of the most appealing aspects of WEXNET 2023 is its accessibility to the public. Entry to this three-day event at the Lahore Expo Center is absolutely free for families, ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to partake in the excitement.
