Tehran, Istanbul sign deal sign deal with Qatar to boost economic ties

TEHRAN: Turkey and Iran signed a deal with Qatar on Sunday aimed to increase the economic relations with the Doha which is under blockade by its Arab neighbors.

The Iranian state television reported that the leaders of three countries signed a deal and it will pave way for the creation of a joint working group to facilitate the transit of goods between these countries. The agreement was also taken to tackle the hurdles to sending goods from Iran and Turkey to Qatar.

Doha friendly relationship with the Shia dominated Iran is the biggest reason behind the Middle East crisis when the Saudi Arabia and other Arab countries announced boycott of Qatar.

Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, the United Arab Emirates and Egypt all cut ties with Qatar in June, accusing Doha of backing extremism and relationship with Iran, however the Qatar denied the charges.

After the crisis started in the gulf stated, Iran and Turkey who are sharing good terms with the Doha, are looking and helping the Qatar to break the isolation of the important Gulf Arab State.
