Telecom imports raise by 19.03%

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS) has revealed on Wednesday that Telecom imports in Pakistan increased by 19.03 per cent during the first three months of the current fiscal year (July-September) as compared to the last year.

As per the data of PBS, Pakistanis imported Telecom products worth of $ 450,165 while $ 378,194 worth Telecom products were imported last year.

PBS added that mobile phones imports into the country decreased by 23.71 per cent during the first quarter of current fiscal year as compared to the same period of last year.

Similarly, other products worth $ 204,962 were imported during the first quarter of current year as compared to $ 179,989 of last year.
